Tickets at Ticket Master
First-round draft choice Luke Ridnour won't be ready for the start of the Seattle SuperSonics' training camp.
Ridnour had surgery on Aug. 6 to repair a pulled abdominal muscle and Sonics general manager Rick Sund said he does not know when the point guard will be able to start playing again.
``He claims he
feels terrific and fine,'' Sund said. ``He has been coming to our facility and
working out every day. But I don't know if he will start training camp. He will
be limited. But I expect him to be ready opening day.''
Ridnour, who passed up his senior season at the University of Oregon to enter
the NBA draft, incurred his injury before the draft, when he was working out
for the Milwaukee Bucks. He did not have a full workout with the Sonics because
he was injured, but Seattle still took him with the ticketmaster 14th pick.
Ridnour was unable to work out with Seattle's summer league team, and Sund said his workouts will be closely monitored when ticketmaster training camp opens on Sept. 27.
The Sonics will open their exhibition season on Oct. 8 and their NBA regular season on Oct. 30.
